Description
This 50 notional hour, 5 credits short course is intended for people who are responsible for screening for workplace-induced hearing impairments in an occupational setting. The course is Unit Standard 252126 aligned.
Competence in this training course will enable the learner to:
✓ Prepare equipment, environment and worker for an audiometry test
✓ Conduct an audiometric screening test
✓ Interpret, evaluate, record and report the audiometric screening test result
We offer the training in 3 different formats to best suit your needs:
1. In-person: Students physically attend and are trained by a facilitator face-to-face Students join online and receive live online training by a facilitator
2. Live online: Students join online and receive live online training by a facilitator
3. eLearning: Students can log in at any time and work through the course material at their own pace.
Entry requirements:
✓ Grade 12 certificate
CPD Accreditation:
✓ On request prior to training
✓ 30 Clinical Level 1 CEU points
Please note: Students who are attending the face-to-face training do not need to purchase the course manual.
