Introduction
The human eye is an incredible organ made up of many intricate parts working together, resulting in vision. Vision accounts for 80%2 of all impressions and seeing provides 70% of all sensory input for the body1. The eye is broken down into parts that can be seen externally (when looking in the mirror), and the internal parts which are not visible.
The eye is an important and complex organ and part of the sensory nervous system. The human eye reacts to light and is capable of receiving visual information about colour, shape, movement, and depth, which is carried to the brain and interpreted as an image. Under normal circumstances humans have binocular vision, meaning that they have 2 eyes that work together to create a single combined image.
